Standing by the corner of the present bar location (under where the traffic lights currently are), looking back towards the staircase downstairs. Note the discoball above the original dancefloor!
The main bar has changed location in the first room. The bar is currently against what is the back wall here, to the left of the photo. The location of the bar in the photo is taken up these days by a few bins and sweet machines.
This shows the bar in what is currently the dancefloor. The current DJ booth is in the area to the left of this photo. This explains the presence of the food lift on the dancefloor! It was once behind a bar.

Being next to Cambridge Corn Exchange, a number of acts playing there ate at The Kambar when it was known as 'The Guilders Restaurant' in the 1970s. The back of this particular menu notably features signatures of Dudley Moore (in the top left) and an early AC/DC lineup ('Bon AC/DC', 'Malcolm Young AC/DC', 'Mark Evans' and 'Phil AC/DC' are at the bottom of the centre panel, 'Angus AC/DC' is further up on the right of the centre panel).
